Canoeing eMnini Dam

Row row row your boat…

📍eMnini Dam

We digressed yesterday excited because Mr President said YES to the #beach and, naturally, we had to take the gap 🤷🏽‍♀️👙🏊🏾‍♂️

Now back to the inspiring business of @greencorridors and its latest purpose project, Umgababa Adventures, where we continued the fun getting our canoe game on 🛶

🥳Fun factor: Starting off with a gentle paddle, we were soon taken by the beautiful surrounds, the current carrying us and…well our competitive spirit. You can’t have 3 boats in the water and not race, right? As for the winning boat, let’s just say we need a rematch 😔

🏋🏾‍♀️Fitness level: everyone’s invited. Not only are the guides great with leading hikes, they’re also fantastic in the kayaks & entirely capable of ensuring even beginners have a good time.

👧🏾 Suitability for kids: as passengers, kids of any age that can sit alone (&still) in the middle seat are welcome. You’ll need to bring a kiddy life jacket if they weigh under 40kg since these aren’t yet available. Our 5yo had the best time cheering us on and enjoying the free ride.

💸Cost: R400pp includes hike, canoe adventure and shuttle from Green Hub to Umgababa. Alternatively, contact @greencorridors for a customised experience & package.

🤩 What we loved most:
– Being close to nature, surrounded by such authentic beauty. It’s a different type of adventure – a mix of fun, exercise and even some relaxation if you just go with the flow. It’s the perfect start or end to the day.
– We love that we can do this all together, even with different levels of fitness and being different ages.
– Racing! It was fun to shift gears and turn up the intensity racing our way across the dam to the “finish line” ending on an adrenaline high!

🚦 What you need to know: to make a booking contact @greencorridors . This site is still new and we are very excited to see how things unfold as the magic & word spreads ✨
