50. The Cradle of Humankind – Magaliesburg. Ask any hiker or mountain biker in Gauteng where to blaze a trail, and there’s a 100% chance that The Cradle will be in the top 3 on their list of recommendations. A heritage site and also a trail seekers delight, this area has an abundance of fantastic trails for hikers and riders. Letshego comes here when she needs that city escape. She loves it for its scenic views and the peace of mind that always follows. From 5km – 50km trails, there’s something for everyone in the cradle. Google hiking at cradle of humankind for a menu of options and prices.
51. PWC Bike Park – for the kids (…the teens and the grown ups. For everyone really). Located right in Bryanston, this play park has over 13km of bike trails designed for every level of skill. Lelethu was introduced to berms & roller coasters on the kiddies track designed for 3 – 6yo. Older kids & novice riders can ease their way into “outrides” by exploring the jungle book or magical forest, &progress to the more challenging trails as they gain confidence. Letshego insists that the PwC bike park is the perfect place to practice certain technical skills, get coached & nurture your love for mountain biking. Bring your bike or rent one out. Go play.
