#10. Run/ride/hike at Honey trails

š„³Fun factor: itās always great to be outdoors! Iād give it a cool 6/10 only because it kinda kicked my butt.
šš¾āāļøFitness level required: if youāre walking or hiking then itās a free for all. As a beginner you can choose the 5km and if you really rate yourself then go ahead and run or ride the 10km or 15km!
š§š¾ Suitability for kids: for the 5km – yup! Unless they have an inner mountain goat in which case…š¤·š½āāļø
šøCost: what your heart desires. Thereās an honesty box before you start. They ask for at least R20pp but itās really up to you.
What we loved most:
– Itās a good play ground to refine your technical skills on the bike with some steep switchbacks, rocks, roots & some technical climbing š
– For the trail runner, this terrain will be a treat.
š¦caution: although the longest route is only 15km, this isnāt for your beginner mountain biker. I consider myself intermediate and even I had to walk some parts of this route and get off my bike to get around obstacles more times than I can count. The 10km/15km routes are made more for runners than they are for MTB.
