12. Swing into the weekend!
For the kids: Rope course & bike track
📍 @chickenrun18 , Kloof, KZN.
This is probably one of Durban’s best kept secrets. Located in Kloof, this spot has a large (I mean large) open area with a rope course that will keep the kids active and entertained forever. There’s also a bike track that will test the older kids bike handling skills & may even tempt the parents to give it a go…
🥳Fun factor: the kids will LOVE it. All of them.
🏋🏾‍♀️Fitness level required: n/a.
👧🏾 Suitability for kids: it’s THE outdoor spot for kids. Not only is it great active entertainment for kids, but (if we put on our parent/teacher hat) it’s great for motor development too.
💸Cost: R65 low rope only R50 bike track only R85 for rope course & bike track. Parents don’t pay.
What we loved most (I asked the kids):
– The obstacle course. And the riding! (11yo)
– I liked the adventure (treasure hunt) the most (5yo) … parent side note – the delicious ice lolly at the end may have swung that vote.
– It’s fun and there’s so much cool stuff to do (12yo)
🚦What you need to know: This is low key relaxed spot primarily geared for kids. There’s a canteen but it only serves coffee, soft drinks and water. You are encouraged to bring a picnic basket with snacks, food and drinks. Come prepared and you can stay and play all day. Please note that it’s only open on a Saturday.
