Krantzkloof

#3: A local hike

šŸ“ Krantzkloof Nature Reserve, Kloof

🄳Fun factor: A walk in nature always wins

šŸ‹šŸ¾ā€ā™€ļøFitness level required: beginner to advanced depending on chosen route

šŸ‘§šŸ¾Suitability for kids: it depends. The one featured in this post is not quite child friendly & has some seriously steep hills & boulders to conquer (fun!). But other trails are definitely accommodating of the kids PLUS there’s a great family friendly picnic area to enjoy post hike.

šŸ’øCost: R50 per adult. R20 per child.

🤩 What we loved most:
– Despite being located in the ā€˜burbs, once you’re on the river route you escape it all. You’re immersed in nature and it’s wonderfully soothing.
– The waterfall is life! What’s also great is that you can access it from the easier routes too.
– There’s something for everyone. Choose your distance and difficulty depending on how you feel and who you’re with.

🚦Caution – don’t forget to pack drinking water! And snacks depending on how long you’re going for. Especially in summer – bring water!

You’ll come back feeling better. We promise.

Lush surroundings, a resplendent waterfall, and the most convenient city escape – what more do you want?

It’s a YES from us šŸ‘šŸ¾
