The Palmiet Adventure

📍Pamiet Nature Reserve

🥳 Fun factor: we did the 2.5km Mvuzi Falls trail and everyone thoroughly enjoyed it. Two river crossings, forest trails, traversing rocks – an outing that had our little adventurers feeling very accomplished!

🏋🏾‍♀️ Fitness level required: everyone is welcome here. It’s flat and thoroughly enjoyable. There are 10km of trail should you want some distance.

👧🏽 Suitability for kids: yes!

💸 Costs: no charge but donations welcome.

🤩 What we loved most.
– While the kids really enjoyed the river crossing, what they enjoyed most was stopping midway and playing in the water, clothes and all. On a warm day this was the perfect way to cool off as we neared the end of our walk.
– The scenery of forest, river and a few cliffs made for a great backdrop to this “adventure” with the kids. I love that we can do this together & always get a thrill experiencing nature through their eyes. Again, the trick for walking trails with kids is to take it at their pace, step into their imaginary world and make it fun. Packing a “picnic” (apples/muffins/water) is another pro tip.

🚦What you need to know: unfortunately, no dogs are allowed.
